It's Microsoft. For some insane reason, excel formulas are localized. E.g. German Excel uses "SUMME()" instead of "SUM()".

It's insanely annoying because it sport of makes it more difficult to ask for help (I.e. only Germans might know what SVERWEIS does). And if you manage to find a solution in English, you need to translate it.

What the fuck is the article mentioning the attacks in Austria and Germany for, going out of their way to mention their nationalities, too?

Can't have some local person doing violent crime without reminding people of violent asylum seekers one country over?

Steam is partially funded by underage gambling. They know about this. They could literally shut it down within hours.

They're better than most, but that is a major moral failure they don't get nearly enough flak for.

In total, sure. There's enough (in)famous athletes between football, tennis, golf, racing, etc.

Active athletes from one type of sport? No chance.

And here I thought chains were only used for cricket and train tracks.

There's a really easy solution to this problem: Evenly redistribute the carbon tax income to all citizens. That way, prices might increase, but it you manage to have a low carbon footprint, you will end up net positive.

Although it's virtually impossible to track on a personal level, so making people actually notice that net gain might prove difficult.

This is theoretically what we do in Germany, but the government kind of forgot about the paying out part.

Nah, let them file all they want, so long as they pay for them. If they're bogus patents, they're rejected and it's basically just a money transfer to the patent office employees.
