When a poor kid gets flattened by an SUV, the only reasonable response is to sigh, feel sad for a moment, and then move on.

Not true. You could also call into question why the kid was outside in the vicinity of motor vehicles! Surely the parents can be blamed as well.

Yeah, devices that can run fully local are the best. They can be integrated into Home Assistant (or similar), with full control over them. No reliance on a remote server or proprietary app.

That's why it's important to make sure the device can also run purely locally (e.g. via HomeAssistant).

(Not meant as a rebuke, just good advice for the future)

Although the cause is actively encouraged by the symptom.

I'm not dure I understand this scenario: What exactly is keeping you from just answering the phone without headphones?

That's because Google removed the support from chrome after only a few months, and Mozilla never added it to Firefox. And although there's apparently an extension for both, (lossy) image formats need out of the box browser support to have any chance for any kind adoption.

Also, if the circumstances described are impossible, it will default to a heart attack.

Polynesians were literal millenia ahead of even early European seafarers (I.e. Vikings).

"Inconceivable!"

I just learned about image hover text in another thread and noticed that voyager currently doesn't implement showing it.

![alt text](https://lemm.ee/pictrs/image/2984903c-19e2-4f9f-a233-a2b03b9048a2.png "hover text")

alt text

Tapping the image to enlarge it will show the alt text. This is correct if there is no hover text (which is not used all that often). If a hover text is given in the markdown, it should take precedence over the alt text when viewing the image.

Thank you.
