That’s my main “small business chud” talking point, ridiculous rents that drive up the base cost for absolutely everything and drive small businesses out.

A co-workers wife has had a used bookstore for a few years, had low rent negotiated with this cool old Chinese man. He passed away, the property was sold, and their rent is jumping so much she’ll have to close.

I foresaw this happening to them when they confided in me how precarious their business was and even then how much of what they made went towards rent despite them paying half “market value.” She doesn’t even pay herself a Salary, they just barely break even. When I asked them about it at the time it was just some nebulous future problem for them.

Probably bought the cheapiest bulkiest frozen patties dude could find at Cosco. I imagine those come down to a pretty small unit cost

Chess is bourgeoise anyways, backgammon is the true game of the people.

Backgammon was also banned by the Catholic church so that’s funny, it’s already lived through one religious crusade.

Super funny story too:

~2020 Boeing outsourced the interior finishing work of Air Force one to a financially insolvent shell company 80% owned by the Saudi Arabian Government, GDC. GDC basically just took the money and did none of the work, lmao. Boeing got an extra $500 million of government funds out of it too when what they lost on that deal is an estimated $320 million. The whole program for delivering just two planes is ~2 billion over budget.

Allegedly the Saudi government diverted those payments for the Air Force One work to finishing their own 787-8 aircraft before dissolving GDC and abandoning the AF1 commitments, critical support for that maneuver

The tail number of the one being gifted to him is P4-HBJ, the initials of the former prime minister and incredibly wealthy royal Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani.

I fully expect him to change it to DJT or something.

Edit: Also, pretty sick if he flies around in this thing because the actual VC-25’s that are currently used as Air Force 1 and 2 are full of countermeasures and emp shielding. This one is a sitting duck as I presume it’s a bone stock luxury 747

“We want to see, for the good of both China and the U.S, and opening up of China to American business.”

Is trump just jealous that Nixon got credit for “opening china to American businesses” with the US-China Trade Agreement?

They’ll pretty much all continue as usual until the fatigue and mistakes pile up and get them all killed or they get cycled out long enough to borgor themselves into a stupor strong enough to withstand another 9 month round of this. Rinse and repeat until WW3.
