I'm glad you thought it was funny.

Evidently it hit a little too close to home for others.

The creator of the show is autistic and based Sheldon on himself.

You MAY have autism, but based on your other posts, I think you just don't respect people.

Or .. If you can't understand it unless they spell it out for you, there may be a deficiency on your end.

I'm 43. I say I'm old, but I don't actually believe I'm old.

Don't convince me otherwise.

That whole comment is creepy as fuck, but using the word "females" especially sets off my ickometer.

Because old people like me view written correspondence as less disposable. When jotting down personal notes, we don't worry about spelling or punctuation, but writing a letter? You double check that shit so there isn't documentation of how illiterate you are!

Youth grew up with texting. It's designed to be fast and efficient. Sup? OMG 👍 They just need to get the point across, it's not a grammar competition.

Neither is right or wrong, it's just a generational difference.

So far so good, only got a few hours in, and I was VERY frustrated with the game crashing. I've heard other people with the Launch version of the XBox Series X are having similar issues. I was averaging a crash every 30 min or so. Thanks to autosave, I rarely lost much progress, and the game boots quickly, so it wasn't too much down time, but it's annoying as hell.

It's close enough to Skyrim, that I felt like I knew exactly what to do, but it's different enough, that most of the time, I don't actually know what to do. I'm still learning the differences between the leveling and equipment systems and which enemies need to be avoided.

Just this morning: "oh, there's a skeleton outside of town, I'll just pick him off with my bow." 60 seconds later: Kai is dead, there's a rain of arrows falling on me, and the skelemans heal faster than I can kill them. Who knew?

Admit it, you've just been getting down to the DK Rap.

Good eye. You might be on to something here.

It doesn't happen everywhere, but it can happen anywhere.

Usually it's one or two people that set the tone and everyone else pretty much conforms, like you did. The next person to join your team, is probably going to go through the same thing.

I could make some guesses, but I don't know how to fix it.

You'd probably be better off finding a new position and hoping it's better, or until then, pray for major personnel changes.

Typically, automatically. But, you might be an outlier.

TL;DR for Americans: American citizens are the biggest idiots on the fucking planet.

As an American, I can confirm this.

In the past 24 hours, I've gotten three calls from mortgage companies looking for my ex-wife. I was pretty sure that she wouldn't put my phone number on her applications, so I asked the last guy who called how he got my number. He explained that they watch EVERYBODY'S credit, and when a mortgage inquiry pops up on anyone's report, they call every number that's ever been associated with that person, just so they can try to snatch the business from the company that ran the inquiry.

One of the callers, after being told I was not my ex, proceeded to read off her birthday and ask if that's when I was born. "No, but thanks for sharing her private information without permission."

If anybody was thinking about using Rocket Mortgage, I would recommend that you don't. If they are this shady on cold calling, I wouldn't trust anything else they do.

He needs some extra hands to pick up a snowblower. We haven't really talked in years. It'll be nice to catch up.

Just a thought that crossed my mind today.

If I was to ask everyone that you've ever interacted with (IRL) what their general opinion of you is, what do you hope the most common answer would be?

Would you hope they consider you a successful person, physically attractive, smart, the best in your field, etc?

Personally, my answer is "A good, kind person. Friendly and helpful."

Just wondering what the rest of feel.

EDIT: Based on the first few responses, I'm thinking I should have clarified better.

I'm not talking about your legacy after you're dead, I just mean right here, right now. You have left an impression on people. That is inevitable. Surely there aren't that many people that don't give a fuck what anyone thinks, but I must admit, it is a valid answer. Maybe you are the person who doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Pastor of Muppets is coming your way!

Kind of a shower thought, and maybe it's just how I run campaigns, but it feels like there's a lot of parallels between DMing and that guy who has a great idea for a book/movie but will never write a single page.

The DM comes up with "So what if there's this guy with this magic power, and the only way to beat him is through a very specific process." And then all the Players decide: who are the characters? What do they do? What do they say? How's it all work out?

My wife put in a pickup order at Sam's Club, so while we were up there, we got supper at the Chinese buffet!

It only took me two weekends to get through the whole thing, and now that it's over. Wow!

It resembles Slay the Spire, where you choose your path, and collect cards and powers, but the matches are more like puzzles. Your opponent creates scenarios and how you pay your cards determines if you move on or perish.

Now a big reason why I loved this game is the weird shit that happens, and weird shit isn't fun when you know it's coming, so that's all I'm going to say about that.

If you like puzzles or cards games or a story that makes you say WHAT THE FUCK?!? start downloading it now, it's free on Gamepass!

Corporate America has programmed people to HUSTLE! BE THE BEST! ACHIEVE! MAKE MORE MONEY!!! for so long that they now need to pay someone to come and teach us how to relax, enjoy the moment and be happy again.

I was relieved to see there were no bids on the Nazi trash.

I wonder if there's some guy out there that collects little metal cars who really wants to bid, but doesn't want to be the guy who bought the Nazi coin.

I've been invited to attend a Tim Walz rally tonight, and I have no idea what to expect. Share your stories and get me pumped up to see our next VP!

Update: Everybody was right, lots of standing and clapping, but what I really didn't expect was the sense of family I felt with all these strangers around me. We'd bump into each other, and laugh it off, one guy was telling me about how his son was thinking about going to the college that I work at (I was still wearing my shirt from work), and we all just knew that we were working together to make great things happen. I'll probably skip the next one, but it was a great experience. I'm glad I went, and would recommend going to one if you have a chance, and a candidate you believe in.

Make-up and KISS!
