The kobo unes run Linux ootb, and they are as easy to install something like pluto on as an android one, but I still prefer them because I can do all kinds of shinanigans with the command line

Also if they are too expensive for you, just get a used one, as long as they have a backlight you can read just as well on them as a libra color

When the P30 came out, you could unlock the bootloader for 5€. That offer to unlock it was deleted not a year after it came out. And even if you could still unlock it, if I have to go to an external website to do it, let alone PAY FOR THE THING I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR, that thing is going into the trash.

E integrates an own cloud service deep into its Android distro.

Unlike even apple, it dosent have any excryption, anonymisation, or even a fucking page saying when they sent what data to authorities.

And since they have this partnership, they have an incentive (Dont know if financial or not) to hinder other, way better backup services like Calyxˋes local, encrypted and honestly way easier to use backup tool.

Unrelated, but Their Installer is also dogshit.

Asking for a friend here:

You know Amazon. You know goddamn well, that Amazon has already made people rebuy books when you move from a state to another. What kind of fucking lobotomy did you get to still buy books from amazon? And how are you suprised that Amazon is doing this, already after inventing their own drm, e-book format, and making it as hard as possible to use their books on non kindles?

yes, now even more people can be tracked with every purchase by a closed source app.

Please just use your goddamn cash, and if you really hqve to, your credit card and not some random app.

It would have been really funny to see that the Pin needs a Datacenter in order to even check its battery status

Another one of these cheap Simulators. Its almost like all of them just use the same Framework for the game (buying stuff, placing down objects, etc) and just change the Assets to whatever fits.

I have no problem with tycoon games, but for Petes sake just call it a $thing themed tycoon game and not a simulator

At Apple, you have to pay up to 1000$ for an iPhone. So theoretically, it is as budget for them to release a 600$ phone as it is for normal people to pay 200$ for the same kind of phone with the same features.

Its a lttle Pin with about no battery life, which whole reason to exist is so you can pay 50$ a month for a non swappable data plan so it can connect to someone elses computer to generate Answers for questions that you shout into the air in public so it can answer it with an LLM thats hallucinating all the time, also loudly while in public. Also, it has a camera.

If you cant run a degoogled and privacy focused OS on it, it dosent exist.

Linux just gained another .13% usage, while Windows lost .23. Another win for Linux

Found a Video about the new Cobra Mk V, thought i I could share it

So, Powerplay. Its not about 2.0 or something, just about powerplay in its purest Form.

First of all, who is it for? Like, I currently am pretty much just grinding for a new fer de Lance right now, and I found no real way of making worthwhile money while helping my power. So is it like only for people who have money to spare?

Second, is it just about the merits, or do people actually fight for their favourite power? Most tutorials just go over earning merits, so is there even a community actually using powerplay as it was intended?

  1. Is there even any way doing what you like and supporting your power in the meantime, or is it just „do these hyper-specific things 50 times”. So, can I like make my power stronger in that system by doing missions or bounties?

I am very New to powerplay, but I did not find any guide to that, so I appreciate your answers

My question regards those little fighter hangars you get for bigger ships that can deploy small fighters, specifically on the krait mk2. I see the benefit for something like an Anaconda where you turn to the enemy for 90% of the time, but for the krait they have so little damage output that I dont see any benefit from just buying some hull reinforcements. Any suggestions?

Hello, I am looking for a 7 or 8 inch e reader which supports KOreader. I dont have to big expectations, it should just have a Touchscreen and preferably wifi so I can wirelessly transfer books to it. I currently use an old kobo aura, and ereaders based on Linux are pretty interesting to me, but i also dont really care if the device runs Android. Also, I would like to stay und er my budget if 250€

So, the grapheneOS project uses the CalyxOS backup tool, so far so good. Can I backup my GrapheneOS data via that backup tool, flash CalyxOS on my phone, and load the backup from there? Is there any other way of preserving as much of my data as possible?

Hello, in the last months I habe taken an interest in the journey trans people go trough to be officially recognized as the gender they are and the surgical operations many go through to adapt their body to their Gender, how it differs in different states, and what can be done to improve this. Unfortunately (as you have probably read in the last sentence) I have no idea about anything regarding this topic. Therefore, I am asking if you know any worthwhile books, websites or any other resources where I can inform myself about these topics, preferably they should be in English or German, but I can just as well use a translator if it is any other language. Thank you for your answers in advance!

In order to be able to Further configure my system, I am looking for a fork of my current OS (artix with openRC as init system) in which i am able to compile every package from source in order to Further configure it with make flags. I am currently not using gentoo, and because the packages in its default repos are only updated when necessary, and the break-my-gentoo repo is more of a joke than an actual replacement for arch. However, if someone can recommand me a repo with similar package updates as arch, I would be looking at installing gentoo.

EDIT: Thank you for Pointing out to me that Gentoo can have newer Packages too. I did indeed not know this, and therefore just stamped off Gentoo as a stable rolling release distro. I will be looking at learning more about gentoo and eventually installing it, once I know how to use portage.

Hello, i am currently looking for a Linux distribution with these criteria:

-it should be more or less stable, comparable to Ubuntu with or without LTS // -it should not be related to IBM to any way (so no fedora/redhat) // -it should not feature snaps (no Ubuntu or KDE neon) // -KDE plasma should be installable manually (best case even installed by default) // -no DIY Distros //

I've been thinking about using an immutable distro, but if anyone can recommend something to me, I'd be very grateful //

Edit: I'm sorry for the bad formatting, for some reason it doesn't register spaces

Time to buy your RAM and storage guys
