Disco Elysium and BG3 are both incredibly well written, to the point where my first playthrough was so good, and so perfectly fit my head canon, that playing it again with different choices and playstyles just feels tedious, and an exercise in futility.
Helldivers 2 really needs some sort of end game content. The gameplay loop is fun, but i'm not even max character level, yet I have everything unlocked, all warbonds, and maxed out resources.
El Paso, Elsewhere is flawless and there is nothing to criticize, go buy it now you losers.
The only one of the three I remember very well is the first one, and I think that's mostly because I've seen so many speedruns of it (thanks, astridthehorrorgirl!) but I do remember at the time of each game's release that 1 was amazing, even playing on the ps2 (iirc), 2 was good, but not as strong, and 3 was mediocre at best. I couldn't tell you why, but that's how I remember feeling. Maybe they deserve a replay.

I can't remember if I saw it posted here or abroad, but I think it was a tweet of someone saying their evangelist chinese granddad thinks god sent trump to destroy america and this is only furthering that idea in my head.
Hot Take: HL2 is probably one of my favorite games ever, but the time gap between then end of HL1 and the beginning of HL2 feels very much like "our game made too much money and so we had to make up some shit" in a way that is less a continuation and more like an entirely different story.
But HL3 confirmed, its coming, i'm camping outside valve headquarters already.
