I worry that "deportation" is more solidly within the Overton window than "indefinitely detained".
"Deportation" implies that someone is free to live anywhere else. "Indefinitely detained" implies that that person is sitting in a cell somewhere.

Maybe you can glean some sort of lesson from them, probably that the world has beautiful stuff in it, but Baraka and Samsara are both gorgeous movies that don't really have a narrative.
