Yep it’s this. Other fed agencies are being called on to assist ICE such as the FBI and the DEA.

Thoughts? More propaganda to instill fear or another step towards our own Night of Broken Glass?

There have been demonstrations against ICE actions all the past week in downtown L.A. (mostly high school kids walking out of class) but I worry that there’s not much that can be done to resist.

Also it’s convenient that the statistic that Latino men voted in favor of Trump is now commonly touted by liberals, as if that suddenly justifies the gestapo snatching LatAm people off the street and out of their homes.

Flimsy reason but the latter half of the 2010s looks better in retrospect compared to the world after 2020.

I cherish that point in my life, even as the safety bolts were coming loose in the world

Majora’s Mask is too short smuglord

Real answer, Termina Bay is such a buzzkill to play through. I enjoy the associated temple but I groan upon seeing that sickly teal ocean. Woodfall/Southern Swamp and Snowhead imo had a better art direction and map layout. In comparison, the Bay has those hostile green land turds, while the water is nigh-on empty except for more enemies. The Pirate’s Fortress is fine but going back-and-forth for the Zora eggs is another buzzkill. The area fees dilapidated and empty but not in the weird or creepy way as the rest of the game (the ranch with the Flatwoods aliens, Ikana Valley).

To use a tired cliche, the area needs more “mystery” and even “Lovecraftian” influences. It’s otherwise just a polluted beach inhabited by the local Zora and pirate populations. Bloodborne did it right with the art direction of the Fisherman’s Wharf.

As a side note, I wonder what the venn diagram looks like for Majora’s Mask enjoyers and Disco Elysium enthusiasts. The mask sidequests are the best part of the game imo which translates over to DE’s.

Don’t they teach you to cite your sources in like fifth grade?

Evil shit especially considering the times we’re in. Best of luck, hope you can take them to the cleaners.

Prisons should be rehabilitation centers in practice, not these crimes against humanity in the US. However there is no rehabilitating the couple in the OP wall

the liberals have woken up and are now Resistance posting on every form of social media, especially Tiktok. Where was this energy the last four years? Your misplaced faith in the Dems won't help, voting is not a meaningful source of change. I hope more of them radicalize over the next 4+ years. What I hate the most is that if Kamala had won, they would be happy to forget about politics for another four years. Everything was KINDA SHIT BUT BEARABLE under Biden the way they tell it.

Fuck it, time for another beer

Can’t use Instagram if I don’t have any friends stalin-approval

Recently transferred to a new group from my old one that I’ve been at for 2 years. At my old one, I wasn’t paid particularly well, but I knew every aspect of my job, management liked me and I got along with all my coworkers. I had a nice routine going. I could be on my phone half the day and still be able to carry out all my job duties. Everything was great.

Of course, everybody within always speaks highly of this other group. “They pay x% better!” “They hardly do any work!” Etc. This mantra is beat into our head the day we’re hired. So when the opportunity comes up to join this group, I knew it would be irresponsible to turn it down.

I made my bittersweet goodbyes and left my old group. I wouldn’t have left this group otherwise; every aspect besides the pay was practically perfect for me.

But I still feel like I made a mistake. I’ve only been at this new group for a week but it’s just a huge disconnect. Everyone here is ready to bust your chops over any mistake. The work culture is absolutely more corporate. I worked with ’s in my previous job but they were all down to earth and friendly; their job is more aligned with blue-collar work compared to my current group. The PMC’s I work for now are Ivy-league, top 10 university alumni. I can’t relate to these folks with their rich people hobbies. These are literally the labor aristocracy, the top 5% at least.

I know I’m lucky to even be in this position but I can’t help but detest it. I made this jump because it pays extremely well but I can’t retire here. I would’ve eventually made a sustainable wage at my previous group, over a much longer period of time, but even then it couldn’t match my current wage. After my degree, I would much rather take a pay-cut and work for my previous group as

I just needed to get this off my chest. I don’t expect users here to have much sympathy for me, as I know plenty here struggle with surviving the day. For the pay, I should suck it up, even if its a toxic work environment. But I miss my old desk and coworkers.
