I completed Deathloop. It was fun but a little repetitive and I felt confused about what to do next quite a few times.
Overall, a good game.
more megamek, more cyberpunkdreams and a little heavily modded mechwarrior 5: mercs
What mods do you recommend for Mechwarrior 5 : mercs. I played the base game vanilla for a bit over 20h but while fun it got quite grindy in a way. (maybe a great podcast game ?)
Edit I played like 10h of it in Coop and its fun to blast mechs together.
the big ones in my list are:
but tbh i started with this list and adjusted it slightly to my taste
Thank you very much . I have heard of Yet another mechlab. Gonna give this a try. The base game is fun but it gets bland after a while. Hope to spice things up with mods.
Partially automated economy gay space kerbalism
Luxury is beyond my skills unfortunately.
Everyone relearning Kerbal skills just in time to prep for the Kitten Space Academy pre-alpha.
I love seeing kerbal posts
I've gotta play more. I want to build a comms network next but also I'm playing career mode so I think I'll need to make some money first
With Contract Configurator and Contract Pack: Constellations, you can get contracts to build your comm network.
I'm playing the deeply inferior console version because I don't want to sit at my desk so pure vanilla baaabbbyy
Playing KSP unmodded and playing KSP on a controller both sound separately unbearable to me.
The controls are fucking baffling. I strongly recommend looking up videos of people playing it for the first time trying to figure out how to do basically anything. Its hilarious
Found one of Matt Lowne playing on ps4, and even with the little trackpad on that controller it looks ridiculous.
The trackpad is a good idea very badly implemented.
You can also just use the analog stick to move the cursor which is what I do. Its no less accurate but way easier.
Also if you accidentally press down on the touch pad it hides your UI for screenshots. Which is hilarious when you don't know why your ui is gone
Finally finished off Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart clocking in a delightfully low 17 hours for 100% completion. Whole thing is just pure nostalgic fun start to finish, well worth a play if you enjoyed the PS2 games.
Otherwise I've been grinding away at the Psyker and Zealot penances on Darktide. I definitely have the Psyker down, but I'm still getting dropped a lot as Zealot so I need to up my dodging game.
If you haven't played Tools of Destruction recently/ever I actually think that game has aged fairly well. I'm also kind of fond of Into the Nexus as a kind of Going Commando like game. I'd recommend emulating Nexus for a more stable framerate if possible with your hardware
Tales of Maj'Eyal. Someone here recommended it and it's taken over my life.
Mostly playing Mario kart double dash because nostalgia, and otherwise playing through some of Portal fan games, with mixed quality of them
Obligatory play Portal: Reloaded.
The co-op is actually easier than the singleplayer if you want a more simple introduction to the mechanics. I also like Portal: Revolution and Portal Stories Mel a decent bit but think they're a step below Reloaded.
There are a few cool double dash romhacks that add remakes/demakes from past/future games in the series that I can talk about as well if you're interested
Thanks for the recs! If you could mention double dash romhacks, that'd be cool too! Not much for conversation rn as I'm getting tired and winding down (yet for some reason won't stop posting), but if you want to talk more @ me in tomorrows megathread and I'll make sure to reply
Mario Kart Double Dash RTGP (releasing in December hopefully): youtube.com/watch?v=PS9fOzUBTb0
Here's the developing general Double Dash wiki for custom distributions (Minecraft modpacks is a decent parallel if you're familiar): https://mkdd.org/wiki/Mario_Kart:_Double_Dash!!_Plus
I've linked DD+ which I think would also be a good time. I'm personally most excited for RTGP due to the extra love and care it's getting musically but both should be a good time. If you have install questions/just want a full iso/rvz to download lmk and I can manage that for you/anyone reading.
Hollow Knight Silksong
spoiler
when it releases later this week
I was playing totk on emulator. When electricity went out, my save files were corrupted.
Are you playing on PC? Is the performance good? I've been playing BOTW via the emulator and it runs like a dream, I'm curious to know what is the state of TOTK emulation
Quite good. Currently on ryujinx, some say yuzu has higher performance but it has not gotten any updates for more than a year and it is less stable . I have 4070 with 9800x3d. Double resolution for 1440p and 16x anti isotropic (maybe I should lower it). It has some hitches here and there but still quite good.
Rocking out silly theme builds in Caves of Qud and then drawing some of them. I keep trying to make professor pikachu work, but he's just so squishy.
The game still has the weird tension of wanting to play like a roguelike with permadeath but also having a central storyline that takes time to complete. I've got a roleplay mode and a pretty survivable classic character that I got past Golgotha with if I want to keep going further into the game, but for whatever reason now I'm just enjoying rolling up new mutants and seeing how far I can get before I get sleepy or too cheeky trying to rob the chest behind half a dozen turrets.
Still playing Kerbal. My first Jool probe arrived in the SOI, and I set up an encounter with Vall to capture, hoping I have enough dV on it to swing over to Laythe afterwards.
Meanwhile I've fully mapped Moho, Eve, and Gilly and my Mun and Minmus stations have been generating science for about a year and a half. Next I'll toss a probe at Dres, then I'll be sending a crewed vehicle as well as mapping and relay probes on the next Duna transfer window.
Umamusume and Death Stranding 2
Kojima the GOAT. I'm currently in chapter 13 and shit is so great
Played the fuck out of Ciziten Sleeper 2 - 100% achievements. It's great!
Now just dicking around a bit in Dirt Rally 2.0. Started playing Dragon Age 2 a little, too
Just started Citizen Sleeper 2 myself, is it possible to do every achievement in one run (with some small exceptions) like CS1, or nah?
There's like two or so situations that require a binary choice, so you'll need to do two runs. I did one on the default difficulty and one on hard and enjoyed it a lot.
Felt like playing tropico for some reason, so playing tropico 5 with a bunch of mods. Fun way to waste a weekend.
Been playing We Love Katamari. The first Katamari Damacy was sick and probably one of my favorite games ever, this one pops a bit more visually and seems like it's on par with the first thus far. The story is something I'll need to see develop though before I judge it; the first was really inspirational in an adorable way.
The dice a million demo. It's pretty good, but very feast or famine
