In my native language (Italian) "Bela" is the word to indicate the sheep vocalization, Example: "la pecora Bela". I think its only appropriate of him to start using it as a motto seeing his voter base.

Many such kovfefe 😔

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 73 points 2 days ago (5 children)

First covfefe and now Bela

There's a possibility for a darker meaning for these things.

Similar to how there are some cults that get their members to send blackmail material on themselves to the cult leader. Because if you knew the cult leader had embarrassing nude photographs of you, then you leaving or betraying the cult is less likely.

So, covfefe and Bela could be public proofs of submission from Trump to somebody else. There may be more proof from before this that demonstrates somebody ordered Trump to post these things, and if Trump ever betrayed them, then they could use these to present absolute proof that Trump is compromised and subservient to, for example, a foreign government. But without that proof, it just looks like a slightly embarrassing typo.

my money’s on:
sometimes he doesn’t lock his phone when he puts it in his pocket

[–] some_kind_of_guy@lemmy.world 25 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I would be surprised if he locks his phone at all

[–] misterdoctor@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (2 children)

He’s absolutely the type of guy to use “1234” or “1111” as his passcode

[–] TehWorld@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago

Incredible! That’s the combination to my luggage!

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

We know two of his former Twitter passwords were Trump2020! And Trump 2024!

Like, no joke. He's a fucking moron.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I wonder if someone already did that: collect all the typos in all Trump's Tweets'n'Lies and try to derive meaning from them.

"See, if you put them in this order it says..."

The possibilities are endless. Something about 1000 monkeys with typerwriters.

[–] TomAwsm@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Except this time, it's just one monkey with an infinite amount of tweets.

[–] EtnaAtsume@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

I think you're just looking for something that isn't there, man.

Bella means "wars" in Latin?

Also means "beautiful", explains a bit about Rome

Belaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

[–] razorcandy@discuss.tchncs.de 57 points 2 days ago (2 children)

It means “white” in several European languages, so while it’s probably not the intended message, it somewhat fits the theme…

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 22 points 2 days ago (1 children)

in belote (card game), 'bela' is the king and queen of a trump suit held by a single player.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Like Trump and Melania being bought together by Epstein?

[–] XTL@sopuli.xyz 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] razorcandy@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Going on a bit of a tangent: In Russian, «бела» (bela) is the short form of «белая» (belaya) and is almost exclusively used in older literature and poetry. So while both do mean “white”, it’s rare to hear bela in modern everyday speech :)

Maybe he was starting to type Belarus and got distracted halfway through?

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 50 points 2 days ago (5 children)

Maybe he died while typing it?

Frodo: “It’s a riddle. What’s the elvish word for friend?”

Trump: “Bela”

[–] klu9@piefed.social 22 points 2 days ago (1 children)

His internet got cut off before he could finish. What he was going to write was:

Bela Lugosi's Dead is my favorite Bauhaus track! EVER!

In Polish, bela could mean shaft or bolt. While not what I'd personally call it, it's hard to ignore the fact he just had a meeting with Putin. Maybe he taught him some new words.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 4 points 1 day ago

bela

he definitely got the "shaft" from putin, and he got a bolt up his behind.

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Did Newsom get a new PR firm or something? For about a week screenshots of these stupid in content and satirical in tone tweets have kept showing up on social media.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

He meant to say Blyat.

Agent Krassinov has difficulties with spelling, okay?

But is the horse okay? Tugs braid
