if anyone is going to make shithead president go nuts, it's going to be TV people mocking him

i imagine this is only going to escalate as the season goes on

Been saying for years that a concerted attack from celebrities, journalists, foreign politicians, billionaires, etc., would utterly cripple the man.

Watch Obama blast him in 2011. The man wasn't yet senile and he lost his fucking mind.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 11 points 1 day ago

He still didn't get over that.

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 5 points 1 day ago

Thanks Obama.

He'll presumably destroy them for it

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

he'll probably try, but they are billionaires now so it's going to be a shit show one way or another

They've been around for a long time and presumably have a lot of "Hollywood" connections. They have a ton of money and their own teams of lawyers on stand-by. They're some of the only people that could get into a feud with him and come out with more money.

I mean, if he attacks them too much they can just pack up and move. That's what they've been telling us billionaires will do if we tax them so it's safe to assume that's what will happen if he goes after them in any real way.

We all know how thin skinned these Nazi pedos are. Whether it’s South Park or all of us constantly dunking on them we need to keep it up.

Fascists are all overly self serious. Mockery is the best way to get to them. Keep it up.

Ironically, lowbrow bullying is not only the favourite style of comedy for right wingers but also the one they are most triggered by. "You have a small penis" absolutely rocks their world view to the core, they can barely get a coherent sentence out in reply through their sobbing tears.

Dont forget to suggest they might be too friendly with the same sex.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Which stings, because they always are, because of course they are because they're human.

The main issue there is that you and I can get friendly with the same sex in a way that's nice for everyone whereas Republicans like to rape a child of the same sex

Selfless vs selfish, in a nut shell.

[–] Nastybutler@lemmy.world 36 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This really hurts the "not relevant" argument they tried to use after the 1st episode

[–] pdxfed@lemmy.world 29 points 2 days ago (1 children)

No it doesn't at all. Kristi Noem immediately issued a statement about this week's episode because they're a completely irrelevant TV show that no one cares about, especially her who keeps responding to them.

🤔

Considering how much of our current hellscape comes down to south park libertarians and "Douche and a turd sandwich" mindsets:

Meh. This isn't even the bare minimum

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 17 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Yeah while it's funny, for sure, it's kind of "too little, too late" after literally spending the last ten years acting like being politically correct in any way was idiocy.

Season 19 in 2015 was when "PC Principal" showed up. It also included the episode "Naughty Ninjas" which basically one long police apologia episode with the moral of the story being that we need police.

[–] Thunderbird4@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Still, the show has a massive and mixed audience. If this is what it takes for the not-politically-engaged cohort to get the message that liking trump isn’t “cool” anymore, then it’s still a huge step in the right direction.

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 14 points 2 days ago

And Douche and Turd Sandwich was in 2004 and... while I don't actually like Kerry or think he would have been a particularly good president, we were also looking at dubyah as the incumbent who had already started two-ish wars (which... I think are worth looking at in terms of what they COULD have accomplished but that sure as hell wasn't what we were doing over there).

A buddy of mine compared matt and trey to The Lincoln Project and... I am not sure I can actually disagree. Sometimes our interests align but it is REALLY dangerous to praise "the cool conservatives".

[–] Blackout@fedia.io 12 points 2 days ago

That wasn't the only thing surging that night. Did you see the size of Trump's dinklefritz?
