Hiya! I am currently in need of some advice regarding finding a job, thus that’s why here haha. I am a student in an art university (studying sculpture, to be more exact), got like two more months left until my vacation is over (till the end of september), and wanted to know if there are any platforms where I could find some jobs online. I know a few languages (english, russian, romanian and french), can draw pretty well digitally ngl, am not familiar with any other softwares besides Clip Studio, am open for learning new softwares/skills/etc. and am very friendly, open-minded,collaborative and creative. Can work only remotely unfortunately. I have to also admit that I have never worked before, like ever…

Hey, there! Not sure if strangers from the internet can give you good advice ... but here is my 50 cents:

  1. Maybe you have a "careers office" at your uni (or the major uni nearby) giving some directions and showing options?
  2. Maybe the public (un-)employment office has some councelling for young academics and/or a "career information bureau" in your area?
  3. Find out the 3-5 most used job offer platforms in your area, e. g. "LinkedIn", "Monster" or so to browse the market and see what is required. This way you get a feeling what you could do and what not.
  4. Prepare for a long search; a "long breath" might be needed. So maybe you need to consider a temporary, simple work to bring in some money while you are searching for "the best" position.
  5. If possible, get in touch with some folks in the fields and places you wish to be/work. Ask for their open positions, the requirements and interships or trial working opportunities. Hope that helps. Good luck!

If you want to sculpt in the entertainment industry some day you should probably learn ZBrush and Substance. I know many art students don't like the thought, and the industry is pretty fucked up at the moment, but realistically it's a way to make money doing art. Like fine art painters doing illustration work.

is the degree an undergrad? Becoming an art teacher is an option if you want to do work related to your education.
