If being a man and being attracted to a good looking woman makes me gay, then I don't understand the logic, but apparently I am gay?

lean beef is an absolute angel. What a fucking nerd

Well fellas, looks like I'm gay 🥵

BTW if any of you look like this and are single hmu.

I've always thought that women who look like they can kick ass are hot AF.

My awakening to that was Alias. I never actually watched the show itself, but I saw a clip from one particular episode that really got me going. At least I'm pretty sure it was Alias. But if you watched it, I'm pretty sure you know exactly the clip I'm talking about.

Now I'm not really into actually having my ass kicked, but just the look of capability. Oooo weeee.

I like women who look like they can take care of themselves, I find the damsel in distress stereotype annoying.

Same. Did these people not play Street Fighter growing up? If Cammy waking the mighty tiger behind my fly is gay then I’ll see you at Pride.

It's because they associate strength and domination purely with masculinity, a real woman is petite and fragile in their eyes.

[–] SonOfAntenora@lemmy.world 5 points 23 hours ago (3 children)

Strength doesn't mean domination. In that case she worked hard on that body. I think a dominant character is what does it. But they can be toxic and controlling.

[–] shadowedcross@sh.itjust.works 2 points 18 hours ago

Correct, just the muscle mommy stereotype is strong and domineering.

(A man) Being attracted to women is so gay.

[–] lowleekun@ani.social 33 points 1 day ago

People who care about what is supposed to be 'gay' can be disregarded entirely.

[–] JokeDeity@sh.itjust.works 24 points 1 day ago (9 children)

I don't care if it's gay or straight, it's not attractive to me personally, so I just avoid it and move on. 🤷

[–] lukaro@lemmy.zip 11 points 1 day ago

The right attitude! I'll never understand why anyone is bothered by a complete strangers appearance.

I have a strong feeling that the people that say that it is gay to feel attracted by a woman with "male" attributes will also say that it is gay to be attracted by a trans woman. Cognitive dissonance all around.

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 1 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

Yup. Definitely no cognitive dissonance about how a skinny/emotional man is unattractive to them, but the hyper-masculine beefcake is the male worthy of praise and attraction. Nothing gay about that.

I am gay for women.

Also I'm bi, so I don't care about gender too much.
