It's been weeks since I began reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck and I've been seriously slacking on reading this book.

I've decided to sit down and knock out 150 pages today. Wish me luck!

I really hated Steinbeck because of required reading in school. I’d decried him at every opportunity since. I dunno what made me take a third chance a few years ago, or honestly a proper chance of my own choosing, but I somehow landed on East of Eden. The book did not disappoint; I was deeply engrossed in it from start to finish. Five stars from me (which I don’t do often) and I really hope you enjoy it.

And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

Easily, a top 5 for me. The way he describes his characters is so real, I can easily find living people like that.

I have a feeling by the end of it I will too.

This is my first book from Steinbeck and I have the opposite opinion on his writing.

I'm really enjoy it. There's just been too many events happening that haven't allowed me the peace of mind to sit and read.

It took me damn near 6 months to read that tomb. One of the first large books I tackled. It's worth it. Don't forget to watch the Kazan film after!

Wow, that is a long time! I'm hoping I get through it a bit faster. I have more I want to read. :)

I'll look into the movie too. Thanks!

Didn't know Steinbeck was a Tengai Makyō fan
