Welcome to c/WouldYouRather, where we present you with the toughest, most ridiculous choices you never knew you had to make! Would you rather have a third arm that's only useful for picking your nose, or be able to talk to animals but only if they're wearing hats? Yeah, it's that kind of vibe. Come for the absurdity, stay because you've clearly got nothing better to do with your life.

Half the challenge is figuring out which Baldwin that is and the other half is whether or not I'm actually thinking of Bill Pullman.

That's a tougher call than you'd think on the surface.

Baldwin has some great roles under his belt despite being a dickhead.

Paxton does as well, but his best ones (imo anyway) were movies whereas Baldwin had better TV roles.

However, I'm fairly sure Paxton made more money overall. Hard to guesstimate that, but Twister was supposedly a big payout for him.

The problem is that Paxton is dead, so his career is over. Baldwin still has a career, so on a practical level, he's the choice that makes sense. But, ignoring that, I think that Paxton would have better future options were he alive still.

Overall, I think I'd go with Paxton, assuming I didn't have to die the same way at the same point in life. He's worked with directors and actors that I think make the day to day work a tad more interesting for me.

But, that's also sacrificing Full Metal Jacket, and that's a fucking huge thing to turn down in favor of Aliens and Titanic (and paxton didn't have a really interesting role in titanic tbh).

Baldwin's FMJ role is a damn hard thing to pass up, even though it's a relatively small role. It's fucking Kubrick. If it only came down to working with with Kubrick vs working with Cameron, it's a totally different question. Kubrick all day long. But the overall career, I think Paxton's resume includes more stuff that I would love to be a part of if I were an actor.
