That anyone would have the fucking audacity to sell tickets to something billed as Fyre Festival 2, is now just standard 2025 worst timeline stuff.

The grifters have worn everyone down to where people just put up with appalling treatment and come back for more.

It’s the same guy.

Seriously... obviously the people selling tickets are scumbags, but who is actually stupid enough to buy them? Why is there a market at all? 🤯

This guy started a second scam while on trial for the first

[–] Parptarf@lemm.ee 37 points 6 days ago

Wait wait wait.

This guy is gonna try to do the same fucking thing again?

Hahahahahhahaha.

I find it amusing that there are people who fell for this scam twice.

I think most people who bought a ticket are youtubers and other influences who don't want to miss train wreck 2.0. Netflix made a documentary about Fyre 1, you don't want to miss out on Fyre 2. But the people who did fall for this second scam (3rd or 4th if you count his other scams) deserve to fight to the death for a matras in a refugee tent encampment.

Out of the many HUGE red flags surrounding this event, this one in particular caught my eye:

The new festival was being marketed under the slogan “FYRE Festival 2 is real”.

If you have to market your event by starting with such basic information, (e.g. by trying to reassure people that your event actually exists and isn’t a prank) that should worry both you and your customers.

bless their hearts.

I wasn’t sure if “them” referred to the promoters or customers, but since it works either way, I upvoted.

That'd be Seth McFarlane, this guy is a McFarland.
