Did they forget Gilmore Girls or The West Wing?
This seems to be a link with all the results, but doesn't list every TV shows that was checked.
Gilmore girls isn't mentioned in this article but it's been measured before, it's less than it's always sunny
A lot of downtime in Gilmore girls
Conversations are wordy and fast though
Most words per minute is a weird metric
A TV show that had an average talking narrator throughout would probably win.
Yet "Most words per minute" seems to portray that the characters speak fast.
When in reality the show with the least amount of non-conversation is going to win, even if the characters don't talk fast.
Star Wars: why use lot word when few word do trick
I do think less dialogue can work great for setting an interesting atmospheric tone. Some of my favorite films have little to no dialogue. But yeah it is weird how many Star Wars shows follow this template. Some of them were very bad too. Interesting that Andor didn’t make this list.
Star Wars has always had kind of slow and stilted dialog imo, Andor is one of the few exceptions
I'm surprised Letterkenny isn't on this list. That show's writing is rapid fire.
Allegedly
Suits would crush Brooklyn 99 if they didn't have so many long, drawn out shots of dramatic looks.
it's because holt never used contractions

Cool, cool. Cool cool cool cool cool cool.
30 Rock had the most jokes per minute though.
I would have guessed always sunny
Love this show! It was always really fast paced haha but one of the wittiest shows ever
Moonlighting had like twice the words as any other drama at the time. I'm guessing it's too old to be included in this ranking.

Huh, maybe that is a clue to why I found the show insufferable despite my enjoyment of similar series. Everything is just too fast
Plus, racing through bad jokes doesn't make them any better
I really don’t like how comedy shows are like this now. There’s no pacing at all just line after line. Makes my head spin.
There is still very much pacing. It's just done through cuts to other cast members now. So you effectively have 3-5 well-paced stories intertwined per episode, as well as different arc lengths weaved in too.
