rc pro am and super off road give me so much nostalgia from my childhood.

I also have mega nostalgia from rad racer :)

I was a North American kid who grew up without an NES, and for this reason, I have a different perspective on retro video games. The common narrative in retro gaming circles is that the NES was in c/retrogaming@lemmy.world

I remember my sister had a master system over the nes, so i got to use that a lot. I actually loved it more

Is there any downside to leaving something seeding indefinitely? Typically I just leave all my torrents seeding whenever I'm done 24/7 (whenever the VPN is on) but is there any detrimental issues to seeding too much?

It doesn't bother me I was just curious if there was ever a such thing as too much seeding since I have like 20+ things seeding and maybe one thing downloading.

Speed isn't an issue since I have gigabit internet.

I'm currently taking all my old Simpsons DVDs and ahem backing them up to my computer and I'd forgotten how good the early season DVD commentaries were and it really made me think how much we lost when DVDs stopped becoming mainstream.

When you heard "Hi I'm Al Jean.. and I'm Mike Reiss", you knew you were going to get a good commentary.

Also the fact that we'll never get John Swartzwelder on an actual commentary.

hi, all; hope this is appropriate.

i was saddened to find out that yummly was killed off over the weekend even though it was one of my favourite places to find new recipes.

does anyone have any good replacements? especially which make it easy to search by cuisine or dietary type?
