We stopped going because it was always 60% straight people, and they caused problems. I personally got gay bashed countless times, violently kicked in the back because some girl thought I was her friend, almost got into a fist fight because a straight girl said she was going to steal my friend's bag, and had to protect my friends from endless streams of straight men who were trying to pick up lesbians.

Even the queers who can afford it stopped going because once the bar was known, it ended up being inhospitable to us.

So basically, the same reason as the housing crisis.

In Montreal I've seen pretty often clubs geting extended alcohol licenses until 6am
