I want to know how a university can just revoke a degree after the fact. Unfortunately the article didn't say a damn thing about it, not even how many they actually revoked.

temporary degree revocations
What in the everliving fuck does this even mean!?
It means that you are temporarily hireable until the degree is reinstated.
Immediately dropped to their knees!
I'm just going to say I hope for things and leave it at that.
I too have great hopes.
If you can’t see that this is the end of the First Amendment you need a cane and dog.
the dog is for biting them in the junk, and the cane is for beating the everloving shit out of them.
because they are willful blind, collaborative pieces of shit.
Wait....what if I can see it as the end? Do I get to ditch my cane? Or do I need to get a dog to go with the cane now?
All 22 of these students should receive honorary degrees from universities abroad and from every US university that isn't full of cowards.
All 22 of these students should get their money back
These dumbasses really think capitulation will make the fascists go away? That's never how it works. Now you've emboldened them to go further, you utter idiots.
I mean it's Columbia. They have a history of this. They aren't capitulating they are using an excuse to do what they wanted to anyways.
This is being driven by the board, not the faculty. The board supports the fascism.
If I were a Columbia student right now I'd be leaving next semester and seeing I could get refunds for this semester.
Your prestige means nothing.
These demands are wild.
This included placing the distinguished Middle East, South Asian, and African Studies department under an “academic receivership” for a minimum of five years and installing a new department chair. This would involve the university ceding control of the department and an outsider chair that could be appointed by the government to run it, potentially overseeing everything from curriculum design to the hiring and firing of faculty.
Freest country on earth, with government mandated positions in academia.
Very sad to see this for the students.
Pussies
Are all the students empoc
