Fresno County just reported another case as well. Where a LOT of Anti-vaxxers reside. Just in time for RTO. Madera might be affected as well.

Return To Office.

Many businesses where I am at have mandated you must come back to office or risk being fired. Now less gets done lol.

Return to Office. Companies forcing people to stop working remotely and come in.

Nonsense. How is that the answer? Out of all 1. World countries this is a problem unique to the USA.

Late stage capitalism.

Actual knowledge is not respected, if anything having knowledge on a subject just means the idiots that have been brainwashed will trust you less for any myriad of reasons.

So it’s gonna be a measles pandemic first & then a bird flu pandemic??

[–] PM_Your_Nudes_Please@lemmy.world 27 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Even more fun! Measles eliminates your body’s built up immunities to other diseases. It basically hits the reset button on your immune system. Your immune system can take up to two years to recover from it. That’s why it was considered a “good” disease to get as a child, (so you could build your immunity back up as a child) but debilitating for adults to get (when you’re more prone to bad reactions from infections.)

Which means a bunch of people will have no immune system when the next pandemic hits.

Measles may have been a “good disease” to get before vaccines were available—they are now, so get the damn measles vaccine immediately if you haven’t gotten it already & retain your health & stop the spread of this extremely contagious virus that can have serious immune system consequences & in some cases can result in death

[–] MyOpinion@lemm.ee 26 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Now we are going to find out how well LA is vaccinated.

[–] ugjka@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

IIRC you can still get it even if you are vaccinated? The point of 99% vaccination is so that spread never happens

Thoughts and prayers...

[–] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 weeks ago
