Most of the world has dirty air, with just 17% of cities globally meeting air pollution guidelines, a report Tuesday found.

Colour me surprised :(

It reminds me of this from last year

Traffic pollution likely causes more than 11,000 premature deaths in Australia a year, new modelling by climate researchers has revealed.

Given the choice between clean air and slightly more value for shareholders, I think the choice is obvious.

Between this and polluted food, soil, and water, I'm fairly certain virtually no one is living a pollution free life anymore.

Much of that is on us, but sometimes it's just the planet doing its thing. I'm in southern Ohio and in recent history we've had a bunch of smoke from fires in Canada. A few days ago my car got covered in dirt that apparently came in a weather system from Texas. Neither event was anywhere close to me, but I have breathing problems already, so I always know when the air is worse than usual. I've been through volcanic eruptions and even just regular pollen seasons get me all messed up. I don't currently live in a dense city area, but I have. And city pollution affects me less than most of these other events. Maybe I've just adapted to it.
