Several documentaries publically treating Luigi Mangione as guilty before his trial even started got released over the past 2 months.

Here's the billion dollar companies behind them.

I watched the one on Max. It was pure corporate propaganda. It was so desperately trying to make a case against Luigi, that even when they mentioned how many people were supporting him, they tried to make it a snide remark. Like:

"Supposedly...the American public is behind him. But would they be if they knew that he had written: A MANIFESTO, just like other serial killers."

It's so blatantly obvious it's truly painful to watch. Got my blood boiling against Max and the oligarchs more than anything else.

The only criticism I have of Luigi is that he only did it once.

[–] trolololol@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Not really his fault, is it?

It's sad that even if it's too obvious to you and us. It might not be for many people. We have been making fun of "obvious lies" for a long time, but recently we've learned people are really believing that, they are willingly following the every word. I don't know if they are plain stupid, like echoing each other, or just want to blame people. It seems to work.

In summary don't shrug it off by called it obvious lies, it is probably working for a lot of the population.

This is a terrifying point.

Damn, I did not realize he was actually a serial killer. Imagine what would have happened if he weren’t stopped?

You can't make luigi like Dahmer or John Wayne Gracey. Because they killed innocent people

[–] JLock17@lemmy.world 10 points 6 hours ago

Brian Thompson killed exponentially more innocent people.

lemmy saw him as hero for killing the CEO, thus treating him as if he commited the murder before the trial even started as well

Either he is an innocent man who is being railroaded, or he killed a murderer.

Either way he did nothing wrong.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 33 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

No, he simply did nothing wrong.

[–] RandomVideos@programming.dev 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Are you sure about that? What if he bullied someone in the past or cut in line?

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

He's no angel!

[–] Acinonyx@lemmy.sdf.org 0 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I only stated facts, I never commented on whether he did something wrong or not. what part of what I said are you disagreeing with?

[–] allo@sh.itjust.works 4 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I like to disagree with facts because it's extra challenging

I'm sure trump would like to offer you a job
