We got Luigi feet pics before GTA6

[–] MIDItheKID@lemmy.world 15 points 16 hours ago

Why is nobody talking about how dirty that power strip is? And one of the plugs isn't all the way seated. That thing poses more danger than Luigi.

Is this standard practice in New York?

[–] rockettaco37@lemmy.world 1 points 13 hours ago

Nope. But right now our state is being occupied by Nazis....

[–] SulaymanF@lemmy.world 1 points 13 hours ago

Not at all.

I don't have much love for this cat, but they are treating him like he's this deranged, blood thirsty serial killer who eats people. He murdered someone. Happens every day. The elites are really trying to send a message.

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 6 points 14 hours ago

Their reaction is where all the value of his act is at.

He rattled their cage while making maintaining a calm demeanor and commanding support across the political circle jerk.

They're elegant. His features. And, you know, he's kind of a he's kind of pretty,

She thirsty

[–] nomy@lemmy.zip 3 points 15 hours ago

We all thirsty for something and Luigi delivers.

[–] PlainSimpleGarak@lemmings.world 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Damn. That courtroom artist is basically saying all LM would have to do is signal his supports and they'd rush for him. Wild.

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Honestly I won't even begrudge them that. Who was the last accused murderer with as much popular support as him?

They should be.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Look, I'm down with his attitude to CEOs, but I just can't get on board with the "everyone must see my ankles" club. I'm out.

[–] bane_killgrind@slrpnk.net 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I too am tired of thirst traps, no matter how sexy they are

[–] Alloi@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

damn his sexy ankles, making me......feel things

[–] morrowind@lemmy.ml 93 points 2 days ago

I didn't know how, but he's managed to make even this look classy

[–] wildcardology@lemmy.world 128 points 2 days ago (5 children)

Wow, they are really afraid of this guy.

What's the source for the obviously biased article about the twisted women? Takes me back to when they called protesters "thugs" during the Floyd protests.

[–] Kbobabob@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] taiyang@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

Oh, that 100% tracks from that rag. By comparison, a similar article from NPR was a lot more careful about it, e.g. "Mangione has received widespread public support, despite state and federal officials discouraging it." Good lesson in identifying bias.

NPR even had the message Luigi sent out thanking his supporters, which I think is nice.

I don't think so. It's all a show, for us to be afraid of our consequences, rather than reflecting on institutions and systems, and the consequences of those collective actions.

[–] nomy@lemmy.zip 4 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

So our options are becoming:

Toil for 70 years until you're forced to liquidate everything you have to move into a shitty retirement home or become a burden on any children you may've had.

Drop out of society and refuse to cooperate, facing all the consequences that entails.

Complete a single task that promises 3 meals per day, climate controlled shelter, basic healthcare and the adoration of fans across the country?

Seems like they're making the choice easy for a lot of people.

[–] Maeve@midwest.social 1 points 14 hours ago

We have choices, and they are hard choices. Idk unless the Republicans are right https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cV1USdkPQ5w

[–] Toribor@corndog.social 20 points 1 day ago

The way they've handled him you'd think they were hauling the Joker in and out of court or something.

Agnifilo argues against this decision. He is a model prisoner

The way the clothes they wear are flying off the shelves, and Luigi's outstanding photogenic quality, you bet they're a model prisoner.

All just ammo for the appeal.

The shooter calmly walked away, and Luigi was arrested calmly in a McDonald's.

At no stage was there some crazy escape or shootout where something like this would be warranted in court, and things like this have been argued to have influenced potential jury members in past cases.

Like, it's one straw on a giant pile of better examples so far, but it all adds up. They're gonna OJ this shit and go so hard it ends in a mistrial or something crazy.

Especially since the trial is going to be a media circus and Trump won't be able to keep his nose out of it, it'll kill him that he won't be the main attraction.

The thing is, support for Luigi crosses party lines. It might be what causes a maga fracture if everything falls right.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 72 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

There's not going to be a mistrial. This is going to be the most cooked trial you've ever seen in your life. Every single juror is going to vote guilty no matter what happens. Through bribery or threats it will happen. You can book it.
