As a leftist that just recently used the word to describe a leftist troll, is there a racist or abelist context about the word that I am unfamiliar with?

Libs with online slang are sort of like white people with black culture. They learn of it several years after the fact, appropriate it and misuse it.
Troglodyte is an insult I've seen used in left spaces a bunch some years ago. Now they discovered it. It's like Tankie or whatever
