Forgot my hearing protection for a concert tonight so I left early and my ears were ringing like twice as loud as normal. I estimate the first act (the part I cared about) was average 85 dB and the main act was average 92 dB but I left the 20 minutes into that so I feel like I shouldn't have done too much damage?

I have tinnitus already so I feel like the temporary louder ringing isn't indicative of significant damage, but shit sucks nonetheless.

TL;DR get earplugs for concerts because tinnitus sucks sooooo bad. Foam ones protect you well if money is tight, but a pair of etymotic research ones (cheap but good brand) or other musician's earplugs are more pleasant to use.

Among the many reasons I work better from home is I swear like a sailor when my code doesn't work.
