Metalheads are generally just nice people cosplaying as mean people. No nice person dislikes a kitty.
If I had to pick a stranger to watch my back, I'd take a metal head any day. There's always a few assholes in ANY group, but for the most part, they are consistently the nicest people I've ever met.
They can kick some ass with the best of them, but will help you up when you've had too much.
Corpsegrinder is the most wholesome dude in music, and if that isn't proof of your statement, I don't know what could be.
