Listen, Canadians, you don't need those tariffs-shmariffs. Just stop buying US shit. That's it. No matter if that is alcohol or software. Stop buying it. And tariffs become just a stupid number for stupid Trump to drool upon.

Those of us who give a damn are already doing that as much as possible.

Unfortunately the 1000 pound gorilla that is the USA had taken over some parts of our economy to the point where there is no way to avoid them completely.

Buying stuff from the US isn't affected by US tariffs!?

Tariffs would be when you sell things to the US, and even then you're not the one paying them, it's just the US government charging its citizens extra to buy things

I know it's tough to wrap one's head around an idea so fervently championed yet obviously self-defeating XD

No, the concept is trivial. I just point out that the coefficient isn't important if the value is zero. And Canadians can make it zero at least at one direction.
