Those sure are the clothes to wear if you love doing inventory management. It looks to me like if she wants to operate a door handle that gun is going in her mouth or on the floor.
The lack of a thigh holster is hopefully just a marketing art choice or something. I liked switching weapons in the 2 remake and admiring the animations, so smooth
