I don't think so. Our libs really like to make deals with the west. And let's be honest, our deals with the east are less than ideal anyways. We can't even sign good deals with China if the sanctions stay, so we have to somehow get rid of sanctions anyway
What's stopping the state from "embracing" the sanctions Russia-style and going full throttle east? These western appeasing libs? If they are coming to power because of concerns with lack of geopolitical assertiveness from former government then wouldn't they lose that power if they renege? Or are these "western" bourgoisie in Iran just that powerful? Are there competing factions of bourgoisie?
Chinese deals with Iran are all kinds of fucked; there is a lot of middle men and back channels and shell companies and banks etc.... We are dealing with China even now but anything serious would require, either:
A) China goes full "fuck your sanctions" to the west, which would put the west in a really bad position and legally cut off many companies from the western market, triggering a response
B) Iran gets rid of sanctions and starts dealing without all the shadow banking bullshit
Russia is new to the game, we've been doing this shadow network shit for a long time. I think the only country with whom we can actually deal (straightforwardly) is the DPRK who has been our true ally on more than one occasion
Thank you for taking the time to explain for all these queries; much appreciated! Stay safe brother.

Sanctions don't matter anymore if Iran strengthen relations with BRICs countries. This is the strategy that Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Burkina Faso and the DPRK have taken and it has proven successful.
With this in mind, deals with the east are very much desirable compared to deals with the demons in the west.
Depends on how BRICS+ deals with sanctions and how the libs respond, the libs have always preferred dealing with the west.
It depends. Russian libs that preferred the West were all shunned when SMO started and there are other similar examples(Mexican libs also are forced to seek diversification).
For me, I see that Iran has a great opportunity to create a new and stronger faction which is the pro BRICS. BRICS+ knows how to deal with sanctions and there is a lot of proof of that. We all have to keep pushing for a new world that we dream about in all of our hearts. The fight lives on.
