This community is focused on games, of all kinds. Any news item or discussion should be related to gaming in some way.

2. No bigotry or harassment, be civil

No bigotry, hardline stance. Try not to get too heated when entering into a discussion or debate.

We are here to talk and discuss about one of our passions, not fight or be exposed to hate. Posts or responses that are hateful will be deleted to keep the atmosphere good. If repeatedly violated, not only will the comment be deleted but a ban will be handed out as well. We judge each case individually.

4. Stay on-topic; no memes, funny videos, giveaways, reposts, or low-effort posts

This community is mostly for discussion and news. Remember to search for the thing you're submitting before posting to see if it's already been posted.

We want to keep the quality of posts high. Therefore, memes, funny videos, low-effort posts and reposts are not allowed. We prohibit giveaways because we cannot be sure that the person holding the giveaway will actually do what they promise.

5. Mark Spoilers and NSFW

Make sure to mark your stuff or it may be removed.

No one wants to be spoiled. Therefore, always mark spoilers. Similarly mark NSFW, in case anyone is browsing in a public space or at work.

6. No linking to piracy

Don't share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.

We don't want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.

Today's game is Mario Kart 64, i found out SpaghettiKart (a Project done by the same people who did Ship of Harkinian) was released today, so i was eager to give it a try since 64 is one of my favorite Mario Kart titles.

I did a time trial first on Rainbow Road (ft. a screenshot of Everyone's favorite Ape in a tie), which is my all time favorite track. I just kind of enjoyed the drive. On the Second Lap i discovered free cam though and took a photo of the front of toad, which is something i realized i hadn't really ever seen.

Not wanting to just drive around though, i hopped into a race on Wario's Stadium (a track that i think needs to come back some day) and raced that. Completely kicked everybody's ass, except Mario who was right up my ass for the entire race.

After that though i went to have some more fun with the Freecam. I did Bowser's castle and did like a little Photoshoot. There's this one i took of the garden's. Something about the freecam interestingly messed up to lighting on the statue i think, which is interesting to see.

I also got a photo of Marty the Thwomp and the other ones, I think out of all the photos of the ones i took this is my favorite. Something about the angle and the subject are interesting to me and look good.

I also took a photo of the Spiral, a part of this level which sticks with me quiet a bit because i've had so many close calls up this thing during the last leg of the race.

The same can be said for this section, which is the last photo i took. I almost exclusively go the right side of the track for some reason. I never can figure out why but only catch myself doing it post race. Maybe it's because i'm right handed? Or maybe it's just familiar. Who knows?

I still just can't respect a rainbow road that has guardrails.

Fair enough lol. I love the track for how freakishly long it is and feeling like a victory lap, but i can see the appeal of the later one's challenges
