Where does this leave Ukraine and possibly Taiwan? This seems like the best chance for PRC to reclaim Taiwan.

Ukraine has (direct?) talks on the 22nd, but the Russians are not satisfied without legal authority and Zelly has none. He's already busted.

The other question is interesting. How would you suggest handling the China situation?
