If you want to imply vocally extending a word, you repeat the last VOWEL, not then last consonant.
It's 'fightiiiiing' not 'fightinggg'. You cant even pronounce that.
what if they were going for “fighting-guh-guh-guh-guh-guh”

You could extend the n, like fightinnnnnng, extending the closed mouth sound.
Now, I think a mixture of the two formats looks best to the eye, fightiiinng.
I'll allow it
