I think if democrats did things necessary to actually impede them people would want to support them instead of people starting to think they are complicit.
If they get arrested it makes headlines and more people get engaged.
If they grew a spine it would be a good thing.

Which probably isn't worth sacrificing their vote and presence. Do they let Congress vote from prison?
Just yesterday goons were blocked from entering and fucking up the library of congress, those librarians have more balls than those rich politicians you are fellatiating
Fucking block them from entering the building and voting, form committees and get judges to deputize militas to arrest them. Anything that physically restricts them, because that's all that has stopped them so far.

And get arrested for breach of peace and surrender their vote? Who benefits from that? You're removing your closest allies from the very position of power you were just emphasizing. An arrested librarian doesn't impact what policies become law.
It's not bootlicking to be able to think beyond what would feel good this instant. Impeachment is at the very least a bigger speed bump than whatever site of force you'd like them to lose their seat with.
