Imagine if the final patch was a "psych!" And added loot crates
I really want to play Baldur's Gate 3 one day. Do you have to have played the first two to enjoy it? I've played through half of the first one but man these games are long...
You absolutely don’t need to have played the previous games, especially if you’re familiar with the Forgotten Realms setting
I might play 3 and then go back and finish the other two later then lmao. They're fun, I just want to enjoy the latest one while everyone else is.
The main plot thread through all the Balder's gate games is about the god of murder Baal and the Highlander style battle royal between his many offspring (The Baalspawn.) Baulder's gate 1 and 2 are the story of the same protagonist but Balder's three lets you choose any of the lovely companions you probably have seen already as the main character in addition to having two custom character paths Custom and DARK URGE. Dark urge is about Baal obviously so you might want to pick custom. Don't feel like your missing out anything for doing this either the plot is still the same, the Urge just gets
if you don't play as him. This also gives you a reason to do a second playthrough after you've beat the first two games.
no i never played the first two games and it's great by itself.
bg2 gets directly referenced but if you know what the plot was and who the companions are you'll know what's what
