The first 10 maybe 15, 20 is stretching it seasons of the simpsons were alright, parts of them genuinely good. Why we’ve continued another 20 years with lesser writers and low quality slop is beyond me…

because enough people are watching and animation is cheaper to do than a single camera or three camera 22 minute sitcom

Only because we underpay animators, especially in other countries. Places like Akom which does The Simpsons, for example.

100%. it's an exploitatative industry. one that gives us incredible works of art, but an exploitative industry nonetheless
