- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. - Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

I'm concerned that's a package deal. As soon as he hits the right trigger, it goes martial law. If he shoots protestors, 40% of the US will be chomping at the bit to grab their own guns and help him.
The left might have the majority, but they're not armed and deluded and ready for the blood of the regular right.
I'm part of the left and I'm armed. I just don't glorify my arms, name them girl names, or fall to sleep stroking them like a lover.
I think it's the only position I share with our rightwing. I wish I didnt need them, but this is a cesspool of toxic individualism, avarice, and prideful ignorance. When in Nazi Germany, you might need to shoot a Nazi.
In the Nordic countries, societies, they have freedom to roam, here our bootstrap buckaroos fantasize about murdering anyone (who doesn't look like them) that rings their doorbell for walking up their sidewalk.
If you aren't training with your weapons you being armed doesn't mean shit. Nobody cares how much you resent your firearm ownership. I own and train with guns for the same reasons I own and train with first aid kits and fire extinguishers. It's called being responsible for your own safety because nobody cares about you as much as yourself.
The left doesn't advertise their gun ownership or preparedness the way the right does. Also, if society breaks down, firearms might be useful, but the ability to source food, clean water, medical attention, and safe temperatures will probably be even more important.
The "words are violence" crowd is gonna have a tough time dealing with the "violence is violence" crowd. Wish they hadn't deluded themselves into believing the 2nd amendment wasn't necessary in the modern era.
