These people are dangerous, and they don't give a shit about any alliances, friendship or partnership. And they control the levers of power.

Sanctioning Canada is a bigger deal because of how much of the urban center is just plastered in a thin layer over America's northern border. Toronto, Windsor, and Vancouver can't function without access to their direct southern neighbors.
