This maybe super unoriginal and already existing theory. But is there any academical thesis or paper explaining gender in two axis plane? One axis being rigid gender of what one identify as, and the other being of what one present oneself as. (Both could be rigid or fluid)

I was reading about dimensional analysis and this thought struck my mind. I am not super knowledgeable in gender fluidity (you can tell). Just want to see if in general there is better understanding of gender spectrum than the one I personally internalized.
