I will start this out with a disclaimer that I do not follow Christianity at all....

If you are a bible-follower and friendly towards homosexuals, then I guess you're skipping over that part where it says "homosexuality is an abomination".

That's one of the many reasons I can't look to the Bible for guidance. I have some gay friends and they deserve all the love and consideration everyone should get.

To those that say the Bible deserves to be followed, but exclude the parts where it says homosexuality is an abomination, I wonder what other parts you ignore? AFAIK, one isn't supposed to flip through the Bible and pick and choose which sections should be followed.

This is one of the many reasons why I consider the Bible immoral, and following it either immoral or morally and logically inconsistent.

I mean, it is ideological, like saying "All men are equals" or "Eating healthy leads to a longer life". I wish people would just come out and say what they really mean. Are the same teachers striving for a classroom where not everyone is equal?

Then I learned that Pink Slime didn’t go away, they just changed the laws so they could add up to a certain percentage of pink slime to ground beef without identifying it. I believe it’s up to 15% where i live. Suddenly the quality difference between the store ground beef and the next price tier makes a lot of sense. It's like how people were really against Obamacare but loved the Affordable Care Act. All you need is a bit of a label change and the public falls in line. The public has an attention span of about 2 weeks and rarely ever follows up, so they are really easy to fool.

This is one of the reasons the new administration loves to cut education budgets. Stupider people are easier to govern.

Don't forget the shrinkflation. Many, many, many products are now smaller or lesser in quantity than they used to be.

I also remember that the USSR was mocked because their citizens had to show papers to move around inside the country. With all the warrantless searches allowed within 50 miles of the border (aka a huge part of the USA) and the huge amount of scrutiny that you face to even fly within the USA, it doesn't seem quite so funny anymore.
