If you want to be able to add custom engines directly from the settings, in about:config add browser.urlbar.update2.engineAliasRefresh and set the value to true, after that you should see Add button in about:preferences#search

If I had a community, I would probably try to keep the number of pinned posts to 2-3 max at a time and more only if absolutely necessary.
It should also be possible to login to same account in different containers unless the website prevents it somehow.
Constantly causing brain drains will probably not help either.
If you can't open someones profile, try to find one of their posts/comments and block them from there:

Forum users tend to prefer long-lasting discussions, which is not the case on Lemmy/Reddit, where threads are forgotten after a few days.
