I'd like to see 50-60 year olds doing up their hair like the Static-X guy.

The Gorge tried to emulate some of the visual aspects of Annihilation in terms of the colour pallette, but

spoilerunlike the latter The Gorge completely neutralised the cosmic dread by trying to explain the horrors with pseudoscience. And it was baaad pseudoscience. Like the mutagen being "in the fog", which is gas coming from missiles (predating the V2 rockets??) that have been... belching it since the mid 40s?? Bullets and knives/sabres being alternatively ineffective and 100% deadly to the horrors, gas and affected creatures being magically contained to the gorge, him not being able to bring personal effects yes her having a record player and loudspeaker with her preferred music present, those "satellite cloaking signals"...

Plus, I dislike horror films where the protagonists survive in the end. It completely nullifies the dread.

Just because a game is old doesn't mean it's not fun. How old are the board and card games again?

dynamic pricing

barely measurable [to consumers]

/goose meme

If the dynamic pricing is barely noticeable, then why do the stores need it?

I've got a weak spot for Rheo Thompson chocolates. Not something you'd get at the grocery store though.

Sometimes. For example if I'm out shoveling snow I'd rather not get snow in my asscrack, so I wear my pants higher.

Other kinds of severe weather are predictable, whereas there's a big difference between "this pattern could develop into a tornado over the next half hour, batten down the hatches" and "A TORNADO HAS TOUCHED DOWN NEAR YOU, GET TO A SHELTER WITHIN THE NEXT MINUTE OR YOU'LL DIE!"

Icewind Dale did the same with Baldur's Gate. Not just the UI, they blatantly reused a lot of the assets too!

Generally films where the "good guys" don't win, but if I had to pick a single genre that'd be cosmic horror. In the Mouth of Madness, Event Horizon, Color out of Space, Annihilation, etc.

A suggestion from someone who frequently deals with observability infrastructure: it's a good idea to set up a postgres exporter and record your data as Prometheus metrics, that way querying the metrics does not hit any of the production stack.

Every once in a while my feed contains a post with a title that begins with a hashmark, most frequently either microblog type posts with hashtags or numbered project update posts. Summit dutifully renders these titles as if they were markdown titles with a huge font. I would very much appreciate an option to render post titles as-is instead.

Since the most recent update, every time I try to block a community, the Summit app crashes.
