It's amazing how an actor can have the majority of his career based on one role, spending decades interacting with fans at conventions and with new writers who watched Captain Kirk as a kid... could also so throughly misunderstand the appeal of his own show.

Bill grew up in the Flash Gordon era of sci-fi and has never left. I say we leave him there. Nothing good comes from his return.

This is exactly like how Elon asked Twitter employees to print out "last 30 days of your published code for review". It's such a laughably insane way of doing things that only someone with a childs understanding of the world would even think to ask for.

Well sure, but who exactly is saying he is a horrible person, and he is, because of the name? This is just an interesting factoid about the type of environment Elon was raised in.

Cats domesticated humans. Mine watches me clean her litter box. It's clearly a power play.

Now normally, I am on the side of yelling shit at police.

“You were brave on Twitter,” Tarrio said to one of the officers as he continued to follow them. “You guys were brave at my sentencing when you sat there and laughed when I got 22 fucking years. Now you don’t want to look in my eyes, you fucking cowards.”

Fanone, a former Capitol police officer, then turns and tells him: “You’re a traitor to this country.”

“They are operating under the assumption that, if they commit violent criminal acts on Donald Trump’s behalf, that he will pardon them for future violence,” Fanone said. “These are insurrectionists, let’s be very clear.”

But I am unabashedly on the cops side here. Enrique, and the rest of the proud boys, are exceedingly huge pieces of shit.

Well speaking as a queer person I and many of my friends have had the pyramid cited to us to show why we would always be unhappy. The hierarchy is not an entirely flawed concept and in the broadest of strokes I agree with it. Which is why I only say it's overrated, not inherently wrong. The hierarchy just falls apart rather quickly for GSM folks while being taken as fact by the general population.

The simple answer is catfishing, but this amount of time and effort dedicated to trying and be perceived as a woman seems like unrealized gender dysphoria and internalized racism. Their own self hate manifesting as external vitriol at out trans folk isn't even remotely okay, but not unheard of.

Maslow is overrated.

Midsommar is an excellent film about exactly how this type of back-to-basics all natural anti-modern vibe can be a vehicle for fascism. I recommend going in without learning more if you haven't seen it, but there is a lot of symbolism, foreshadowing and deeper meaning in easy to miss moments.

On the MAGA tombstone note, it's worth rembering that while these people don't give a single fuck their empathy or truth, they DO give a fuck about cruelty and hate.

So long as Trump encourages their bigotry nothing else, even their own well being, nothing else matters.

Okay so that is a wild run on sentence that was very confusing to read but I think I figured out what they were going for?

I assume this person is saying that atrocities committed by Japan, such as Unit 731, are not as widely known as the Holocaust. Which was a specific deliberate choice by General MacArthur during the reconstruction of Japan following the dissolution of the monarchy.

If anyone is interested (and has 2 hours to kill lol) this video was quite illuminating on the subject.
