Sorry I forgot to include that in the post. This line is already in my config exactly as you wrote it. I have also tried to run the same thing in the terminal and nothing changes. Thanks for the response though

Since a week or two back, my cursor theme for QT apps stopped working. In Hyprland and some apps (like Kitty) the cursor is the hyprland logo. GTK apps work fine as I set them with NWG-look. I have set the QT theme to Breeze with qt5ct and qt6ct.

I followed the wiki and according to the FAQ the cursor being a hyprland logo is because no cursor theme is installed. But like, no? Breeze is installed, which is the theme I want. I also installed other hyprcursor themes to test them but that didn't work either. What is going on?

Here is the relevant part of my config. Did I miss anything?

    env=HYPRCURSOR_THEME,Breeze
    env=HYPRCURSOR_SIZE,24

    env=XCURSOR_SIZE,24
    env=XCURSOR_THEME,Breeze

    env=QT_QPA_PLATFORM,wayland
    env=QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME,qt5ct

Edit: forgot this which is also in the config

exec-once = hyprctl setcursor Breeze 24

That would drain your battery pretty quickly since it would need to be communicating with other instances constantly

So hyped for this

You know you can get 100/100 speeds right? But it will cost more obviously. That's why people who don't upload stuff get 100/10. It matches their needs just as well and is cheaper.

The mouse stays on the internal display.

Does Linux support this? I am trying to connect my laptop to a monitor via USB C. The laptop has two Thunderbolt ports and the monitor has support for USB C DP alt mode. I have tested the same setup on my work laptop (windows 11) and it works fine but my laptop running arch does not work. My laptop detects the monitor correctly so it shows up in the KDE plasma display configuration but the monitor is not getting any input. As far as I could tell this is supported in the kernel. Am I wrong? Am I missing some important package?

I'll start. My girlfriend's cat never purrs or does the "baking biscuits" thing even when he is clearly enjoying the cuddles.

I don't know when this started but I noticed it for the first time a few months ago. Some podcasts will have preroll ads that are obviously tailored to me since they are not in the same language as the podcast, instead they are in my native language and if I connect to a VPN in another country the ad will change to one from that country. They also seem to appear regardless of podcast app. I have used both AntennaPod and Spotify. AntennaPod is free so I guess they source their podcasts from some third party website that could be adding in the ads. But since I am paying for Spotify I am expecting not to have to listen to any ads. So who is adding in these ads? Can I get rid of them or am I just stuck with them?

I heard Beehaw defederated from Lemmy.world among others, but recently I have been seeing content from beehaw communities and users. Did they re-federate? If so, why? And if not, why am seeing updates from their servers again?
