She is such a perfect refutation to all the bullshit excuses that US liberals spew to justify their failures.

"We need a white male christian next time!"

"Kamala was too progressive!"

Hamas announces that the release of the next batch of Israeli hostages, originally scheduled for Saturday February 15th, will be postponed

This decision comes in response to repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire and obstructions to aid entering Gaza.

Israel has reportedly resumed bombing and pushing into Syria while the "government" forces (HTS) are busy attacking... Lebanon... for some reason.

Now watch him suddenly die of old age and get replaced by another "reformer" who immediately tries to make a deal and inevitably gets fucked over again.

Herr Sturmer's Blairite "Labour" party copy-pasted the Tories' non-answer to the petition and added some extra sneaky parts classic

Apparently there was a small "earthquake" in Poltava, Ukraine today. That's where the Russian missiles struck yesterday, which reportedly targeted a gas processing plant.

The delay between the missile strike and the "earthquake" is odd. Maybe there was a fire which eventually blew up the gas?

I suspect the initial Iskanders and fighter-launched cruise missiles were targeting Ukraine's air defenses, so the main volley from bombers can get through easier. I guess the main target will still be energy infrastructure.

Imagine the Soviet command in 1945, to whom the Wehrmacht command says: "We won't sign anything with a gun to our temple, pull the army away from Berlin." And Stalin is like: zer gut, bitte schön, I'm leaving-leaving-leaving. Can you imagine?

I'm convinced Putin says this because he doesn't want to admit that the Kiev offensive was a failure. Maybe they did ask him to withdraw, but I think the only reason he actually did is because Russian forces were overextended and had no choice at the time. The successful Ukrainian Kharkiv offensive is evidence of this. Starting the SMO with what was basically a skeleton crew was a huge gamble that almost worked, until it didn't.

And now imagine Stalin saying: I won't sign anything with Keitel and Jodl, they are illegitimate, they didn't go through democratic elections, they haven't had elections there since 1933, they can refuse to sign at any time, and then what, go to war again or something. Can you imagine?

Russia needs a concrete deal, in writing, with full "legal" standing, and absolutely no wiggle room. I can see why signing a deal with Zelensky isn't good enough.

So Trump can build a new extrajudicial concentration camp and send 30,000 people there with the stroke of a pen, but Obama/Biden "couldn't" close down the torture camp with a fraction of that population. Very cool.

It's a very good, enjoyable talk. Also he quotes Ursula Le Guin.

Been booting up GTA 4 a lot lately just to goof around, and this banger is on The Vibe radio station.

spoilerIn the In Water ending, there is a close-up of James looking defeated, starting the car, and gripping the steering wheel just before it fades to black.

In the Stillness ending, the last thing he does on camera is take a thoughtful look at Mary's letter (the one that tells him to move on with his life). He starts the car off-camera.

There's already a theory based on the audio in the Stillness ending that he gets out of the car and lets it drive itself into the lake with Mary's body. I feel like this difference in camera shots makes it a lot more obvious.

Anyway, cri
