This will go for a couple other players like Bruce brown but the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers can’t sign any player who was making more than the nontaxpayer midlevel exception before being waived due to being over the 1st apron.

Shai should have it covered for the most part since it’s shorter games and Giannis and Jokic will be the other ball handlers so think they’re fine.

Love the old heads vs internationals vs young guys teams think it’ll give each team a chip. Sounds like Wemby is taking it serious so I think they take it.

Chucks teams winning it all and it won’t be close.

If that’s true hats off to Pelinka, to have a trade as good as that offered to you and you still manage to talk the Mavs down lol

Since they’re under the 2nd apron they can now trade cash again and they don’t really have a use for him so tbh is is either just a cash save or to open up a roster spot.

Hornets got more draft compensation for MARK WILLIAMS then the Mavs did for Luka lmao

Been an entertaining trade deadline for sure lol.

Heat get Wiggins which they’ll like, have to see the details on the pick to fully judge this tho. Kind of forgot PJ was still in the league, is he washed?

For the warriors this was really the only trade available if you’re going to try and make a run. Maybe you get the version of butler that helps carries you to the finals and maybe this blows up but at least they went for it one last time with Steph.

Edit: can’t wait for the inevitable Draymond/Jimmy fight

Guessing the pelicans lower their tax bill?

He’s been pretty disinterested on the Wizards so I expect him to be more focused on defense to the point he won’t be a negative and his shooting %s to increase since he’s now a 3rd option and not a 1st.

Not saying he’s gonna be amazing but if he can play a role like he did for the Lakers it’s an upgrade from the current hobbled Middleton and the Bucks were able to get under the 2nd apron on top of it for effectively no draft capital.

My guess is they’d rather pay Middleton more next year than have the extra 1 (maybe 2 can’t remember) years Kuzma has on his deal and the pick swap may be good depending on the year.

Not a huge win for them or anything but not really sure Kuzmas market either so may have been the best option.

Part of me is sad because he did help us win a championship but he was really the only option to move if we wanted to upgrade and he’s been hurt for most of the last couple seasons.

Definitely deserves to have his jersey retired.

The Mavs as an org may never recover from this. What star wants to play for a team that does this to the player that took them to the finals.
