Hello everyone.

Last week, I used Haveno (reto) to buy XMR for the first time, and everything went really smoothly. Now, I'm considering selling small amounts of XMR, but I have a few concerns and questions before jumping in.

I've been trying to figure out how the account signing feature works, but I haven’t found any clear documentation.

How does the signing system operate on Haveno?

What’s the process for getting your account signed, and how important is it for someone who wants to start selling XMR? Are there specific benefits to having a signed account, aside from trust and higher limits?

Risks with SEPA Payments:

How likely is it that someone could pay me with a stolen/hijacked bank account when using instant SEPA? I’ve heard that chargebacks can happen if this is the case, but I’m not sure how common this risk is, especially for smaller transactions. Has anyone who's used Haveno or Bisq experienced this?

Using PayPal (Friends & Family):

I was thinking of using PayPal and enforcing "Friends & Family" payments to avoid chargebacks. However, is this even an option for selling XMR? Has anyone actually done this successfully, and if so, what should I be aware of?

I’d appreciate any advice or experiences from people who have been selling XMR in these ways. Thanks in advance!

Love Feather Wallet but help me with my stupidity here: I thought Monero is at 0.18.3.3 not 0.18.3.4?

Hello Everyone,

I'm thrilled to share that my public node, which has been running reliably since 2019, is now accessible via Clearnet and Tor through a new website launched at the start of this year.

As an individual contributor to our network, I've set up this node to support our community. You're welcome to connect to this community-run node if you're comfortable doing so.

One key feature of this website is that it doesn't use any JavaScript. This design choice enhances privacy and ensures compatibility with Tor.

However, I understand the importance of trust in the digital world. While I assure you of the integrity of this node, I also encourage those who prefer not to rely on third-party nodes to consider hosting their own. It's a great way to contribute to the network's decentralization and resilience.

Remember, the strength of our network lies in its users. Whether you choose to use my node, host your own, or simply participate in the network, you're playing a vital part in our community<3

Ah, Telegram: where end-to-end encryption is a "special feature" for secret chats and not the standard for all. How... private.

Hello, fellow privacy enthusiasts!

I've been on a journey to find a VPN provider that aligns with my privacy values, and I wanted to share my experiences and concerns here, hoping for some insights and recommendations.

Primary Criteria:

  • Outside of the 14 Eyes: Ideally, I'd prefer a provider outside of the 14 Eyes intelligence-sharing countries.

  • Accepts Monero: Given its the only real privacy coin there is, I'm keen on providers that accept Monero as a payment method.

  • I need port forwarding for the services I host.

Current Options: I've considered Mullvad and IVPN, both of which I trust for their privacy focus. However, they recently disabled their port forwarding support, which I need since I host services from home. SPN by Safing sounds really interesting too but they also do not offer port forwarding sadly.

ProtonVPN seemed like a close alternative, but I've come across several red flags:

  • Logging Concerns: ProtonMail, under the same parent company, provided IP logs in response to a Swiss court order. This contradicts ProtonVPN's claim on their website that "we can’t be obligated to start logging" under Swiss law.

  • Use of Google Analytics: Despite being a privacy-focused service, ProtonMail has used Google Analytics on their website, raising questions about their commitment to user privacy.

  • No Monero Support: Proton has not added Monero as a payment option, despite numerous requests from the community over the years.

Seeking Recommendations: Given the above, I'm reaching out for advice. Are there any VPN providers you'd recommend that fit my primary criteria? Or any insights into the concerns I've raised about ProtonVPN?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Finally I can say what I think. FUCK REDDIT. Honestly, it's been a terrible experience creating an alt on Reddit. They get shadowbanned instantly and fully banned around 3-6 months later, and there is no way to contact support nor do they give you any reasons why. Almost all of my posts have been auto-censored by Reddit, and I've had to regularly contact mods to approve my posts. I really hope this platform gets the attention it deserves. Thank you for creating it! <3
