Freetaxusa.com does pretty much what turbo tax does. Federal filing for free, pretty sure they just charge $15 for state. If your taxes are too complex for freetaxusa you probably shouldn't use turbo tax anyway.

Or Access, which is the real reason my office will never switch. It's an ever growing mountain of labor to transfer that to something else

So I feel like it should be possible for a popular browser like firefox to obfuscate these finger printing results by reporting and requesting standard readouts. For example, requesting layouts for all common phone resolutions, then filtering on the user end and giving the user their actual layout. If every instance of firefox gave the same bogus info it would camouflage a large number of users. I'm sure this would use a little more processing power and data, but would probably be worth having a privacy toggle for.

I am not a tech pro, I assume I am missing something that prevents the feasibility of this idea.

I don't really get why it would have a time limit either. Just don't buy from these companies, ever. It's not even hard to do. A minor inconvenience at most.

I thought I did, they had a drop down menu to select based on my card. Maybe I screwed that up, will double check, thanks

Works great on my main PC. I have some legacy hardware, a 12 year old PC I shoved a gtx970 into, and I cannot seem to get Bazzite running on it. It would run Win10 and most modern titles well enough to let the kiddo play on it, so this is disappointing. Maybe I need a different distro for something so old?

Been using Bazzite. Super simple install, been working really well.

You are right, I had it a little backward. The e foundation makes /e/OS, and they sell a murena fairphone 5 with the OS preinstalled. So you can get a fairphone thay way, or just install it yourself.

Fairphone uses their own custom OS to degoogle things and help ensure privacy. I dont think its perfect but its about as good as it gets. Otherwise you can buy a google phone and degoogle it with Graphene

It also sucks that when you buy a game to own it often isnt maintained, so upgrading your phone or sometimed even just OS updates will break the game with no fix, no recourse. I got real fucking tired of losing my purchases to that shit.

Notably I played the ever living shit out of xcom enemy unknown and would have kept doing it too if it weren't for this issue.
