Awesome! Thank you so much for the update and the quick turnaround. I'm definitely glad to be supporting this project.

I'm hoping the Lemmy devs work on supporting flair soon. Is the flair federated out with activity pub somehow?

It would be great if we had a way to mark images/videos/links on a post as a spoiler.

Right now the closest thing to this is to mark them as NSFW or similar.

Yes, but you can only select the feeds that you yourself have created. I did not create the Video Game feed, so it won't let me select that as a Parent.

I'm loving the Feeds feature, but just some things I've noticed.

Right now the list is manageable, but as more users join up with PieFed the list of Feeds will grow.

  1. We need a way to search for feeds
  2. It would be nice if we could request to move a particular feed under a parent feed that has been created by someone else. For instance, I have created a Star Citizen feed to merge the different star Citizen communities, however it would be more organized if this appeared under the "Video Games" feed.

Edit:
3. The ability to search for content within a particular feed.

Comment from CarbonPixel:

Currently there's a bug where if you switch to third person view while your character is standing in active rain, you can see a few seconds of the Blood, Sweat, and Tears VFX overlay feature that isn't officially released yet. The effect only lasts a few seconds once you switch and turns off consistently but it resets when you switch camera modes from first to third person again. You can see the blood drops appear and run down the character's face and if you look closer you can also see sweat appear that also moves on the skin surface (slower than the blood). I didn't see any tears, but I'm guessing that effect may be something that will be tied to an emote you can manually trigger or that will appear via other triggers (ie. pain from wounds and/or damage to your character).

I'm not sure if this bug was just a very prelim test to see if they can incorporate rain VFX and wetness using the Blood, Sweat, and Tears overlay to show rain drops on skin, at which point I would think they would just need to retexture the blood VFX to be the same color as the rain water and have that be a rain specific overlay in addition to blood, sweat, and tears. Very neat to see either way.

I don't think the official Reddit app has ever supported this, unless it's a new feature?

Only 3rd party apps supported this, but a lot of those have been killed off. You might still be able to access this feature through old.Reddit:

I'm not sure if you meant "multi-communities".

In the fediverse, PieFed is a useful one where you can combine different communities into "feeds".

For instance, there are a bunch of different "technology" communities, but all of their posts are combined into this feed: https://piefed.social/f/tech

In android, if you go to the website, then click on the 3 dots -> Add to Homescreen -> Install
Then you'll be able to use PieFed and browse communities in the way (i think) you're asking.

Otherwise this is also possible with the Android app "Eternity" which let's you create your own "Multicommunity". The advantage to the PieFed one is that someone else has already scoured the fediverse for you and combined them.

This is awesome! I hope more groups start doing this.
Edit: Are they using a script/tool for this, or are they manually copying over the questions and answers?

Hmm a very interesting point. And I don't think we want to implement a "blue check" symbol for verified accounts.

So many good quality of life fixes. It's definitely going to be a better experience if I get a friend to try it out.

True, but the coolest thing is it just goes to show another benefit of the fediverse. We're still able to post/comment on here with alts even when their servers are having issues.
