Labour spent years screaming at the Tories for restricting protests and threatening free speech with the Online Safety Act. Now they are in power they are using the same Tory policies to further restrict any and all criticism in the government. And thankfully its not working.

Kier Starmer THINKS he can ban end to end encryption and peoples rights to store encrypted data locally but the more he tries to stop it the more people actually start using encryption for their private data and VPNs to access the net.

Fuck Starmer, Fuck Rachel from accounts, Fuck Labour and Fuck anyone that voted for them and/or supports them.

Two weeks ago I was a total Linux noob. I installed Mint on my laptop and now I have Mint running my Plex server and Bazzite on my ROG Ally. I've completely dropped Windows and I've never been happier.

So I suggest you start with Mint. Its as easy to use as Windows should be.

I'll look into it. Thanks.

It is. Remote access isn't essential either but an iPad app for my kids would be a bonus.

Guess it's time to look for free alternatives. I wasn't happy paying £3.99 a month to access MY OWN FILES but £6.99 is a hard pass.

Any suggestions on alternatives will be greatfully received.

Preferably with user accounts, pin protection for profiles and will stream to a PS5.

Same person. I had to switch instances as .world blocks VPNs.

From what I understand the Pixel 6 - 8 uses an optical scanner but the 9 uses the same ultrasonic sensor the Galaxy S25 uses. I'm hoping that's better.
