Yeah, pretty obvious that it should record if someone is trying to open the door.
They will have to switch at some point for the US. The consumers will demand it. Few years from now nobody will buy a CCS car in the US.
I just hope that somehow Europe and the rest of the world follows. Probably not, and CCS2 is not so bad, but NACS is really nice.
This was posted by the guy behind the Tesla Android Project (https://teslaandroid.com/).
In summary:
- FSD stack is being tested in Europe as a regular Autopilot, it is intended to just replace the old stack and keep the same functionality; the work is still in early stages and will take some time
- radar in S/X isn't used now and it will be needed to homologate FSD in other markets
- Model 3, Model Y and Highland will probably not get radar
- the front bumper camera will appear in other models when Cybertruck launches or a little bit before that
- the front bumper camera will be connected with the same harness as the front headlights and other front equipment (mentioned in one of the following comments)

We already tried to move to Voat in 2015 and it... didn't turn out very well...
I think if the Apollo dev actually releases an Apollo-based app for Lemmy then we might get a chance.
I think we are just spoiled with so many awesome updates. We're getting a brand new car + a bunch of goofy parts for existing cars, I think that's still pretty good. But yeah, hyped for 0.30 :D
